SOLVENT BASED INK ADDITIVES
These are additive products developed to enhance the performance of inks used in flexographic and rotogravure printing systems. By regulating the ink’s fluidity, drying time, and surface adhesion, they improve print quality and production efficiency.
Printing Type
Flexographic Printing, Rotogravure
Printing Materials
Plastic film, flexible packaging materials
Features
Provides viscosity adjustment
Regulates drying time
Increases printing stability
Improves surface adhesion
Application Method
Used by adding certain proportions into the ink before printing.
| PRINTING SUBSTRATES | ADDITIONAL AMOUNT | FEATURES |
|---|---|---|
| Abrasion and Scratch Resistance Enhancer | Maximum %5-8 | When added to the ink, it increases the abrasion and scratch resistance of the printed surface. Using more than a maximum of 8% may cause matting on the printed surface. |
| Deep Freeze and Moisture Resistance Enhancer | Maximum %20-24 | When added to ink, it enhances the printed material’s resistance to deep freezing. |
| Scratch Resistance Enhancer | Maximum %6-10 | When added to ink, it improves the adhesion and scratch resistance of the printed surface. |
| Heat Resistance Enhancer | Maximum %10 | When added to ink, it increases the heat resistance of the printed material. Usage above 10% may cause blocking. |
| Slip Resistance Enhancer | Maximum %4-6 | When added to ink, it minimizes the increase in COF (reduction in slip) on the reverse side of PE films. |
| Scratch Resistance & Surface Smoothing Enhancer | Maximum %5 | When added to ink, it enhances scratch and abrasion resistance while improving surface smoothness of the printed area. |
| Adhesion Promoter | Maximum %4-6 | When added to ink, it improves the adhesion properties of the printed surface. DN-99730 Adhesion Promoter Additive is TAA-free. It should not be added to inks used on double-sided corona-treated materials, as this may result in blocking. |
